
Steven Brimmer - Chairman
Mr. Brimmer has over 25 years of experience as a senior executive. Receiving a BSEE in 1971, he launched his career in Network Television working for both NBC & Fox Television, followed by careers as an engineer in both the music recording and motion picture industries beginning at Warner Bros in 1974. His senior-level executive appointments included, Lions Gate, The Walt Disney Company, Meridian Studios, Olympic Studios and Big Apple Music. In 2000 Mr. Brimmer initiated a second career in technology as CEO of graphic software company Toolfarm.com. This position was followed by President of Orange County-based Metaport Corporation, a digital imager semiconductor company and COO/CFO for Silicon Valley Public Television. In 2004 as a co-founder, he launched SunCore, the world's first mobile solar power company. His ability to bridge across technology, finance and business disciplines has added significant value to the Company and it's global growth.
Mark A. Franzen
Mr. Franzen is currently serving as President of Franzen Business Consulting. His experience combines 30 years of corporate finance and top-level accounting for a wide variety of companies. As a consultant, he led American Mold Guard in their Initial Public Offering in May, 2006. Also in the role of consultant, he assisted in the $10 million financing for a software company, completed a registration statement for an oil production company and supported numerous companies with their SEC filings. Prior to launching his consulting practice, he was the CFO of MTI Technology. Within three quarters of his joining the Company, he assisted the Company in reducing operating expenses by 60%, achieving positive cash flow, restored the Company to profitability and its stock price had the 36th largest increase of 3,800 Micro Cap companies. Mr. Franzen was the CFO of several venture-backed companies including Y Media, Evolve Products, Storage Concepts, Calios, UniStructure, Digital Sound and Computers International. During this time he managed equity infusions in excess of $100 million and established bank and capital lease lines in excess of $80 million. In 1993, Mr. Franzen was CFO for Level One Communications, where he managed their $45 million IPO process. Mr. Franzen received a B.S degree in Business Administration with an Accounting major in 1967 from California State University at Northridge. He is a certified public accountant.
Dr. Arthur Kozak
Working more than 30 years for IBM, Dr. Kozak gained wide experience in many fields encompassing technology, services, software and financing. Graduating with a PhD in Mathematics in 1969, he started his career in System Engineering but quickly moved into Sales and Marketing. He was appointed Country General Manger of IBM Austria in 1994 with responsibility for all business aspects of a small country organization. Advancing, Dr. Kozak held various senior executive positions in IBM EMEA giving him expansive multi-country and global experience. As VP of Software he led the IBM Software business in Europe. In 1998 as General Manager of IBM Global Financing EMEA, he was successful in leading the Financing Business of IBM in Europe providing Financing to IBM’s customers and business partners. Running the Financing Business not as a sales support organization, but rather as a business, he was responsible for the management of over $10 billion in assets. Under his leadership, profits more than tripled, while managing an appropriate risk profile. During this time, he gained tremendous insight into the financing requirements necessary for start-up companies to grow. He resigned from IBM in 2003 to focus on private investments. Dr. Kozak’s valuable combination of strategic thinking, operational execution and business acumen position him to assist in the development and growth of SunCore.
Donald Nevins
Spanning his career of 27 years, Mr. Nevins has led the business development and deal transactions for both national and international Fortune 500 companies representing well over $3 billion in total project costs. These projects included land and site development, facilities and equipment selection. He led projects for aerospace research and development and manufacturing, electronics, corporate facilities, computer centers, pharmaceutical, telecommunications and secured mission critical Department of Defense projects. The Fortune 500 companies include Boeing, TRW, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Allergan, Toyota, American Honda, Disney, and Rockwell. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington State University and also studied Urban Planning in Copenhagen, Denmark
Richard Sanett
Mr. Sanett has served as an executive for major technology manufacturing companies for over 20 years. As Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Sunpower Systems, he was responsible for major OEMs such as Nokia, Palm, Motorola Magellan, and several major telecoms in China. Previously, he was Division President, COO and Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Tesla USA, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Sanett served as Director of Operations and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Penta Laboratories, a division of Raytheon. In this role, he directed all worldwide sales and marketing efforts. Mr. Sanett achieved Department of Defense (DoD) product approvals on more than 250 line items and initiated several million dollars in contracts from the DoD. Mr. Sanett holds bachelor degrees in Business, Political Science as well as an MBA.
