SunCore Corporation today announced that it has completed two patent filings for its underlying technology utilized in the Company’s embedded solar charged battery systems for portable electronic devices. The Company was represented by Knobbe, Martens Olsen & Bear whose team led by Arthur Rose included Sharon Ng and Bridget O’Leary Smith who developed the claims and filings on behalf of SunCore. “We are grateful to Louis Knobbe, Art Rose and their team of extraordinary lawyers for the brilliant work they performed on these patents, in a very esoteric area of technology development” said Steven Brimmer, President and CEO of SunCore.
Technology Alliance July 20, 2008— Irvine, California
SunCore Corporation today announced that it has entered into a strategic technology development program with Texas Instruments for design of the Company’s embedded sub-micron charge management circuitry. The circuitry includes several integrated devices from TI including programmable micro-controlled lithium battery management systems along with special devices to manage the power output of the solar micro-array into the charge system. SunCore expects to have it’s first pre-production samples by early 2009.
New Home! April 30, 2008—Irvine, California
SunCore Corporation today announced that it is relocating into a brand new 26,000 sq. ft. building in the Spectrum Technology area in Irvine, CA at 25 Edelman Street. The Company expects to remain in this solar-friendly building for at least three years, and will be constructing it’s clean room and laboratory facilities concurrent with occupancy of the completed office space. SunCore Corporation today announced that it has closed its first round of Series A capital investment. The company will utilize the investment capital to initialize its product production in both the U.S. and China, and to begin development of its worldwide product deployment. Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth of Newport Beach, California represented SunCore in the transaction.

SunCore Corporation today announced that it has been in discussion with several investment firms toward bringing outside investment capital into the company as part of its new Series A round of fundraising. The company will not reveal the size of investment being discussed at this time however the firms represent both Venture Capital, institutional and private investment said Steven Brimmer, President and CEO of SunCore. The company expects to close this round of investment fundraising within 60 days.
